The City of Wylie, Texas auction terms are as follows:
*The City will only allow questions to be submitted via the auction@wylietexas.gov e-mail address.
*All final questions must be submitted the day before the auction closes by 8:30 AM.
*It is strongly recommended that you inspect the items in person. All items are sold AS IS-WHERE IS AND WITH ALL FAULTS AND DEFECTS THEREIN.
*The City is giving seven business days for removal after the date of payment.

IMPORTANT PAYMENT INSTRUCTIONS:
All payments for this auction must be received no later than 3:00 p.m., Monday, July 31, 2017.

All payments totaling over $10,000.00 MUST be paid with a single cashier’s check or via wire transfer. (The wire transfer fee will be waived. You will need to contact our office for wire transfer instructions.)

If you want to pay in person you may visit our branch located at 2414 W. University, Ste. 122-A, McKinney, Texas 75071 between the hours of 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM.

PLEASE INCLUDE A COPY OF YOUR INVOICE WITH YOUR PAYMENT. If we do not receive payment by the due date, your account will be temporarily deactivated pending receipt of payment.

For any taxable purchases, if you are claiming purchases for resale OR if you are tax exempt, please include the appropriate tax form with your payment. The resale and exemption forms can be found on our website by clicking on the Help Menu and then "Forms". All previously submitted resale or exemption forms are kept with individual auctions so you must send a new form with each payment. We will not refund sales tax paid after a paid receipt has been issued so please ensure that your resale or exemption certificates are properly completed and submitted with your payment. Any requests for refund of sales tax after the sale is completed will be issued a Form 00-985 Assignment of Right to Refund in lieu of a refund of sales tax paid. There will be no exceptions to this policy. Any items taxed with a TERP sales tax includes the 1.5% State of Texas TERP surcharge.

REMOVAL: By appointment only between the hours of 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday through Friday. All items must be removed within 7 business days from date of payment to Rene' Bates Auctioneers, Inc. Appointments must be scheduled with Wylie Public Works at 972.442.7588 and will only be scheduled AFTER THE PAID RECEIPT HAS BEEN RECEIVED FROM RENE' BATES AUCTIONEERS, INC. Leaving an email or voicemail message stating what time and date the successful bidder is coming does not constitute a scheduled appointment. All bidders must brin a valid driver's license verifying identity and a copy of the paid receipt. After the final day of removal, a $25 per day, per item storage fee may be charged to the buyer and will be required to be paid in cash before the item will be released.

If bidder is unable to remove their merchandise within 7 business days, the bidder must contact the City prior to the 7th day to request alternative arrangements. The City reserves the right of final determination and approval of alternative arrangements.

If the bidder is sending a third party person, transportation service or movers to pick up items, the City must be notified at the time the Removal Appointment is made. The bidder is responsible for giving the City the following 3rd party information: Company or Individual Name, Valid Driver's License verifying identity and a Copy of the Paid Receipt.
Vehicles do not have tags and the City will not provide temporary tags. It is the buyer's responsibility to make arrangements prior to removing vehicles to obtain temporary tags or to haul the vehicles away.

REGARDING PAPERWORK: All titles and 130-U forms will be completed by the City of Wylie Purchasing Agent in the name and address of the successful bidder only. Requests for documents containing any other information will not be processed. For questions, please e-mail auction@wylietexas.gov.

The Seller DOES NOT provide transportation or loading services for buyers to remove their merchandise. Any and all methods of lifting, towing, and hauling, as well as all other methods or requirements for the removal and transport of the materials, equipment and/or vehicles, is the sole responsibility of the buyer. The ownership of any and all items not removed by the final day of removal will revert back to the Seller and they may re-sell or dispose of the property as they see fit. NO REFUNDS WILL BE ISSUED.
