All payments totaling over $10,000.00 MUST be paid with a single cashier’s check or via wire transfer. (The wire transfer fee will be waived. You will need to contact our office for wire transfer instructions.)

PLEASE INCLUDE A COPY OF YOUR INVOICE WITH YOUR PAYMENT. If we do not receive payment by the due date, your account will be temporarily deactivated pending receipt of payment.

For any taxable purchases, if you are claiming purchases for resale OR if you are tax exempt, please include the appropriate tax form with your payment. The resale and exemption forms can be found on our website by clicking on the Help Menu and then "Forms". All previously submitted resale or exemption forms are kept with individual auctions so you must send a new form with each payment. We will not refund sales tax paid after a paid receipt has been issued so please ensure that your resale or exemption certificates are properly completed and submitted with your payment. Any requests for refund of sales tax after the sale is completed will be issued a Form 00-985 Assignment of Right to Refund in lieu of a refund of sales tax paid. There will be no exceptions to this policy. Any items taxed with a TERP sales tax includes the 1.5% State of Texas TERP surcharge.

REMOVAL: BY APPOINTMENT ONLY, same-day request may not be honored. THIS WILL BE STRICTLY ENFORCED. NO SATURDAY OR SUNDAY REMOVAL. YOU MUST SCHEDULE REMOVAL APPOINTMENT 24 HOURS IN ADVANCE. All items must be removed by Thursday, June 7, 2018. Upon receipt of payment received, Bidder must contact Kristina Handley of the Lubbock County Purchasing office at (806) 775-1014 in order to obtain vehicle title and authorization for the removal of vehicle and/or miscellaneous items. Bidder is then responsible for scheduling an appointment for removal with the appropriate contact individual for the item's location. YOU MUST BRING A CURRENT PHOTO ID AND COPY OF THE PAID RECEIPT FROM RENE BATES AUCTIONEERS IN ORDER TO PICKUP THE LOT(S). After the final day for removal, a storage fee of $25.00 per day, per Lot will be charged to the buyer for any items that have not been removed. Bidders who have not FULLY removed their lot(s) in a timely manner, will be asked to leave and will need to reschedule.

LUBBOCK COUNTY WILL NOT SHIP, PACKAGE OR PROVIDE THIRD PARTY INFORMATION FOR SHIPPING. Lubbock County DOES NOT provide transportation or loading services for buyers to remove their merchandise. Any and all methods of lifting, towing, and hauling, as well as all other methods or requirements for the removal and transport of the materials, equipment and/or vehicles, is the sole responsibility of the buyer. Bidder is responsible for bringing all tools, trailers, materials, supplies and man-power necessary to remove Lots in a timely manner. Please note: Some items may be wrapped and palatalized, and/or VERY HEAVY. Lubbock County offers ZERO assistance.

Lots purchased must be removed in their entirety. Items abandoned or not picked up without written authorization from Lubbock County MAY result in the loss of future bidding privileges in Lubbock County auctions.

PLEASE BE AWARE THAT IF YOU ARE LATE OR DO NOT SHOW UP FOR YOUR REMOVAL APPOINTMENT YOU WILL BE CHARGED A $25.00 REMOVAL ASSESSMENT FEE BY LUBBOCK COUNTY PURCHASING. YOU WILL HAVE TO RESCHEDULE A NEW REMOVAL APPOINTMENT TIME AND THE REMOVAL ASSESSMENT FEE WILL BE COLLECTED BY LUBBOCK COUNTY BEFORE YOU WILL BE ABLE TO REMOVE YOUR ITEMS. RESCHEDULED REMOVAL APPOINTMENTS MAY HAVE TO BE SCHEDULED FOR A DIFFERENT DAY.

If you are sending a third party person, transportation service or movers to pick up any purchased lot, Bidder must email Kristina Handley an Authorization of Release Form. Click here to review the Authorization of Release Form which MUST be received 1 business day before pick-up. Include the following information in the authorization form:
* Name of the bidder (Must match the name on the Paid Receipt), signed and dated.
* List of the lots to be picked up.
* Front and back copy of bidder's driver's license.
* Name/contact information of the third party person.
* Advise Lubbock County to mail the title or release title to third party. (See REGARDING PAPERWORK section for additional information).
* Third Party MUST have a valid Driver's License/ Official ID or they will not be allowed to take any items.
Bidder is responsible for informing third party person or transport company of the pick-up schedule mentioned above.

REGARDING PAPERWORK: Bidder must contact Kristina Handley of the Lubbock County Purchasing office at (806) 775-1014, in order to obtain vehicle title. Title(s) will be transferred to the successful bidder's name ONLY, AS NOTED ON THE PAID RECEIPT - NO EXCEPTIONS.

If the Buyer is unable to remove their merchandise by the final removal date the Buyer MUST contact Kristina Handley, PRIOR to said date to make alternate arrangements. Lubbock County at their sole discretion will allow the Buyer additional time to remove the merchandise. The Buyer will be charged a $25.00 per day/per LOT storage fee after the final removal day. This fee will be collected, in the form of a MONEY ORDER OR CASHIER'S CHECK ONLY (no checks or cash will be accepted), from the Buyer at the time of pick up. If the Buyer does not notify Lubbock County and request an extension for any items that have not been removed within FIVE (5) days after the final date; the ownership of the merchandise will revert back to Lubbock County, Texas and Lubbock County, Texas may dispose of or re-sell the item at their discretion.

In purchasing these items, to the extent authorized by the Constitution and laws of the State of Texas, buyer shall indemnify and hold Lubbock County harmless against any and all claims, demands, damages, liabilities and costs incurred by buyer which directly or indirectly result from, or arise in connection with, any negligent act or omission of Lubbock County, its agents, or employees, pertaining to its activities and obligations under this Agreement.

Bidder accepts responsibility for and agrees to indemnify, defend and hold harmless, Lubbock County, its officers, employees, agents, affiliates, subsidiaries, heirs, successors, executors, administrators, adjusters, servants, attorneys, assigns and representatives (collectively referred to as "Lubbock County") from and against any and all causes of action, claims, losses, damages, liabilities, judgments, fees, costs and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees and expenses) related to, arising from or associated with the use of the Site by Bidder, his agents or representatives, personal injuries or property damage incurred on the sale premises or Lubbock County property, or during removal and transport of any auction item/lots.

Unclaimed items: For any items not removed by the final removal day, and a consistent good faith effort is not made to retrieve them the ownership of the merchandise will revert back to the Seller, to dispose of or re-sell the item at their discretion. In addition, storage fees (described above) can be imposed for up to 30 days. Failure to remove bidder's items or comply with any of the listed terms can result in a delay in the release of bidder's items and/or Rene Bates account being locked.
